Osmanthus Flower Tisane

if rare is your thing and sweet is your taste, here’s a fine tea that will make you fall in love with it first and then ensure that it ends up being your last. Reserved only for the Chinese Imperial Family in the olden days, white silver needle tea is harvested only for two days in a year using the centuries old technique of Imperial Gathering, even today. With its origin in the mountains of China’s Fujian Province, this fine tea is made from the tenderest of tea buds instead of tea leaves. Best known as the exquisite pure tea, white silver needle tea is sun-dried in natural sunlight. Hence, it is high in immune-boosting antioxidants and the lowest in caffeine. White silver needle fine tea has a rich, nectar-like body. It gives a light, honey sweet fragrance with a delicate, smooth and clean finish. Pair it with some cookies and crème and you are on a blissful journey of an unusual tea heaven.

How To Brew

How To Brew
  • Water is Tea’s best friend

  • Take a *pinch of Osmanthus Flower Tisane in a cup or a transparent kettle

  • Boil water up to the first bubble

  • Wait till the bubbles calm

  • Don't over-boil the water as it kills the benefits of the tisane and the taste of the flowers

  • Steep the flowers up to 5 minutes in hot water to catch the visual dance of flowers

  • This tisane can be re-steeped several times as per your palate

  • Alternatively, you can serve it as a chilled infusion by cooling it for 2-3 hours and adding a dash of honey and cinnamon

*At RadhikasFineTeas we believe a recipe for tea simply spoils it, instead a pinch of your favorite leaf is what you need to explore the nuances and notes of tea as it unfurls and expands, adjusting with more or less leaf or more or less water.
So a pinch is thus taking for measurements sake a TABLESPOON of the leaf or 2 grams for 8 ounces of water.
