    • Radhika’s Fine Teas & Whatnots is India’s first ceremonial tea brand—founded by Radhika Batra Shah, a mother, entrepreneur, and one of the country’s earliest certified Tea Sommeliers. Armed with an MBA and early stints at McCann Erickson in advertising and Tata Retail (TRENT) during the launch of Westside, Radhika built a foundation in brand strategy and consumer insight before making her bold pivot.

    • In 2006, she left the corporate world for the love of the leaf—trading boardrooms for biodynamic gardens, and global acclaim for the quiet magic of chai. At a time when India saw tea only as daily fuel, she pioneered her own version of a Desi Tea Ceremony—a poetic ritual that transformed tea into an experience of storytelling, wellness, and cultural pride.

    • Born into a proud Punjabi family, Radhika is the daughter of a Merchant Navy Captain and an eloquent mother whose grace and intellect shaped her worldview. Her maternal lineage carries the weight and wisdom of Partition survivors—grandparents who rebuilt life from scratch, with resilience stitched into every ritual. That legacy of grit and grace flows through every blend she curates.
    • Her expertise and artistry quickly gained global recognition. Radhika was the only Asian brand selected in a worldwide pitch to set up a Tea Bar and Tea Menu for Kempinski Hotels, launching at their Oman resort. She was also the only Indian tea sommelier invited to curate experiences for Yauatcha, Haagen-Dazs Patisserie, Facebook Asia’s Women in Media, and was honoured by the Indian Consulate General in New York for her contributions to tea culture.
    • She deepened her craft by partnering with Mr. Bansal of Ambootia Group, father of India’s organic Darjeeling movement, and trained under Mr. Mel’s Academy of Ceylon Teas, becoming one of India’s first certified Tea Sommeliers. Her commitment to Fair Trade and 100% Certified Organic tea gardens remains at the heart of every blend.
    • By 2013, her tea ceremonies had become cultural events—boosting sales and transforming consumer perception. Every time she hosted an appreciation at Godrej Nature’s Basket, the Godrej family took notice. They invited her to launch her own biodynamic brand, and thus, Radhika’s Fine Teas & Whatnots was born. It debuted across 32 stores nationwide, quickly trending among the top 3 beverage brands until Godrej sold its stake in 2018.
    • Her most recent milestone? Representing India at Coffee Fest New York—as the only tea sommelier among a sea of coffee experts. Her presence was a quiet rebellion and a proud celebration of Indian tea culture on a global stage.
    • Today, her brand is a trusted partner to Taj Hotels, Hyatt, Amazon India, Yauatcha, Bastian Hospitality, and many more—where her ceremonial blends elevate luxury dining, wellness rituals, and curated gifting. Her teas have graced the tables of celebrity clients, top-tier chefs, and fine dining institutions across India and abroad.
    • Beyond the brand, Radhika is married to Girish Shah, an equally dynamic industry leader, and is the proud mother of Shloka, a budding actress whose creativity and charisma reflect the same spirit of storytelling that runs in the family.
